The Özyeğin Unversity shows two of the initiatives they have undertaken: the development of a gender equality unit, as well as joinging of a gender expert to their team.

The most important thing for the university was to institutionalize gender equality as a policy. That strongs the commitment of the university to make gender and gender equality equal value of the university structure.

The priorities they decided to establish was to provide training to all staff, to provide support to young women academics, to provide support for the academic staff to integrate gender in their research, and to provide a platform for researchers to bring toghether and share their gender related research.
