The PLOTINA Project Istanbul meeting was held at the Özyeğin University from January 10 to 12, 2018.

On Wednesday 10th the workshop on Monitoring and Evaluation presented by Maria Schwarz-Woelzl from ZSI was held. Its purpose was to discuss the lessons learned from the data collection and insertion into the Gender Equality Plans (GEP), and anticipate the upcoming steps.

On Thursday 11th the first periodical thematic workshop on the GEP implementation was held. Before starting with the hands-on work, Maria Mantini Satta from Progetto Donna e Diversity Management gave a Summary presentation of the GEP implementation including the main features of actions implemented by the RPOs. Naiara Arri Gartzia from Elhuyar Aholkularitza conducted the second part of the workshop, in which each RPO was required to identify the main obstacles encountered and achievements made during the first months of the GEP implementation. Elhuyar Aholkularitza presented a visual means for describing the relevant information using a tree drawn on a flipchart sheet:

  • Challenges will be written in the roots of the tree.
  • Achievements will be shown as fruits of the tree.
  • Strategies will be described as the fertilizer coming out of a watering can.

After that, Charikleia Tzanakou from the University of Warwick ran a Workshop on the process from GEPs to the Good Practices Guide and the Online Library of Actions, and Manex Urruzola from the Elhuyar Fundazioa spoke about the visualization process from GEPs to the Good Practices Guide and the Online Library of Actions, and led a discussion about the forthcoming actions for dissemination purposes.

On Friday 12th each RPO partner presented the state of its Case Study in order to analyse the dissemination of them and their inclusion in the Library of Actions.
